Wednesday we had a Zone Meeting. I love meetings as a missionary!! Every single one is just so good. This one was no different. Plus it's just nice being around other missionaries and hearing their experiences and struggles and testimonies and stuff. And it was really nice to be with president and sister Woodbury. They are so awesome :) president Woodbury sure is a spirit-driven man! and it's so cool and humbling to see.

After the meeting, we waited around for a bit and president did individual interviews. I'm always grateful for his guidance, council, encouragement and support. It always gets me pumped to "go and do!" :) After that, we went on exchanges-- hermana buys went with hermana felt
in Logan square, and I spent the day with hermana savage in our area. We had a couple great appointments and were able to get a lot done in
he short time we had left that day. She finishes up her mission next week so it was really great to spend some time talking to her and getting to know her better and asking advice and all that stuff :)
Thursday, I got fingerprinted for my Visa paperwork stuff. That was pretty fun. I sent it out the next day to the FBI. Ha and that's all I have to say about that! Oh and Thursday, we went to the laundromat because we finally had time to do it because we were in for two days and then had exchanges... BUT we dragged all our clothes over through the slush to find out that they had closed because of fixing the water or something I don't even know. Ha luckily we got our laundry done (FINALLY!!) on Friday :) we were two very happy Hermanas after that...
Friday evening, we had a lesson about the Gospel with a part-member family who we've been trying to work with to get their 9-year-old gamelos baptized. They are so cute and fun, and their family is awesome. Whenever I teach families with younger and hyper kids, I'm always so happy I was able to spend that time teaching primary pre-mission :) I love teaching little kiddos- it's a lot more active, instead of just sitting and being serious the whole time... It's a nice break :)
Saturday afternoon, we had a lesson with a girl who took the first three lessons with the English elders. They handed her off to us cause her family is Spanish and they thought it'd be better if we taught them. We went with the galindo family from the ward. It was an awesome lesson! Maggie is really looking for the truth- she's just trying to make her way through life and high school, and she's trying to turn to God for help but doesn't exactly know how to do it. Luckily, we can totally help with that! And the Galindos were awesome-
Hna galindo is a convert, so she understands a lot easier, what it's like from the investigators point of view, and she has such a way with people. Her daughter, Celeste came with us- she is such an example to me! She's only about 14 but is such a bright light and has such a strong and mature testimony for her age.
Hna Buys and I also liked that lesson because, being in English, we were better able to turn to the scriptures to answer Maggie's questions. One of my favorite things to do is turn to the scriptures when people ask me a question, instead of just answering it myself. Then it helps show them how the scriptures apply to them and their life, and it allows them to kind of teach themselves instead of having me just tell them everything and talk at them.
It was also really cool because everything Maggie told us she struggled with or had questions about could be addressed by this gospel. Sister graham always described the gospel as being silly putty in the sense that it literally conforms to everyone's life, no matter what shape or size it is. Our job as missionaries is just to help show them how. It's really cool :)
Saturday, after walking around trying to find a list of people in our area, we had a lesson with an LA, Hno Correa and the Revolorio family. It was a really awesome lesson. Our members are so great!! They have
such pure testimonies and a genuine desire to help and love for other people- they got along with Hno Correa so well and were really able to help him (especially where our Spanish fell short). And Hno Correa is
one of the best cooks ever... Every single one of his dinners is just so spot-on and memorable. Mmm! And he is such a sweet and caring man, Hna buys and I have really enjoyed working with him and trying to help
him come back to the church.
Sunday was great- lots of people were at the church, so I just had a floating butterfly social fest meeting and talking to people :)
This week, we have had a plethora of weather situations. We got frozen into our apartment, walked through slush, then got drenched, then today, were not even really needing to use our coats.... What? Good thing I come from Colorado where the weather changes on an hourly basis... :)
Right now, our district is at Giordano's :) good stuff.
We're waiting for pizza and I'm starving! It's been a blast, I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to be here. I learn so much about this gospel and about myself, it's awesome. I'm so grateful for what I learn about my savior through the Book of Mormon every single day. I love seeing how this gospel helps others. I'm so grateful for the incredible people that I serve and serve around and who serve me. This church is so true..
Love you all
Hermana Walton
