I'm just goin along, doing the work the best, wildest, mexicanest way I can! :)

Well this week was another week of a lot of finding! We actually fulfilled multiple scriptural prophecies this week! :)

1) "and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks" (Jeremiah 16:16) .... We have been trying for weeks to find this one referral from the elders, but the door to the apartment building is always locked and there's no doorbell :P Tuesday, we decided that for once and for all, we were going to do our very best to get into that building to contact him, and then call it done.

We went, and once again, the door was locked. So we walked around back to the alley. Suuuuper sketch. Then we went down another little alley to find the staircase that would belong to the back door of his apartment. But no one had shoveled that alley in WEEKS and it was so icy. Ridiculously icy. So we made our way across that. Then we climbed one of the most structurally questionable staircases I've climbed my whole life up to the fourth floor where garbage and junk littered the back patio. The door we found ended up not ever being used anyway. We think it went into some dudes bedroom. Weird. But yeah, "hunting out of the holes of rocks," for sure :) that happens a lot on the mission.

2) "Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible." (2 Nephi 29:6... And pretty much that whole chapter) I think this scriptural prophecy gets fulfilled every single day. Just
proves the Book of Mormon is true! :) "Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two nations shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also." (2 Nephi 29:8) Gosh I just love that whole chapter... This also applies, and it is incredible: "And they shall contend one
with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance." (2 Nephi 28:4) Yep. Totally happens.

3) "I will be on your right hand and on your left" (D&C 84:88) Basically, we went to find a lady that we contacted on the street and her dog literally almost knocked down the door. I'm not even kidding. And it was a big dog, and she didn't end up being home. BUT we were ok :) we just looked like dorks running outta there. Especially because we couldn't reopen the gate. It was quite comical. We laughed about it a lot later. Don't worry, mom, I had elder Rays Mace with me too :)

4) "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their
faith." (2 Nephi 27:23) We had dinner a couple weeks ago with a member who in her prayer said "please bless the sidewalk they walk on"... Hermana Buys and I are pretty positive that that's the only reason we haven't slipped yet. It's kind of incredible. The ground has ALMOST won a couple times. But seriously, it's a miracle we haven't legit fallen yet.

5) "And in fine, wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall. Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough!" (2 Nephi 28:28-29) There were a lot of people who got angry at us this week... :P but that's ok-- church is still true :)

Haha I'll stop there, that was fun. Aaand I don't got time to keep going :P My favorite one was the first one-- I can't tell you how many times I've experienced that on my mission!

I love when members come with us- we had two members come with us on Saturday and it was so awesome to have them there... Our appointments fell through and no one wanted to talk to us, but it was fun to be with them :)

And GUESS WHO CAME TO CHURCH AGAIN?? All on his own? :) hermano Correa, our less active friend. AND he even found himself a white shirt and a tie and dressed up this week. Oh man, I'm so proud of him! And I can't even tell you how happy he looked at church. I'm so glad he's finally been making progress- I just love seeing him be happy for literally the first time since I've met him. Follow the spirit.
It totally works.

Well, tomorrow is transfers! And unfortunately, my beloved little Floridian Hermana Buys is leaving me to serve elsewhere. Transfers are just so sad sometimes. But I'm happy for her- we've had a blast together. And I'm getting a fresh-off-the-plane Greenie tomorrow! I'll be training for the third time woohoo and I'll be bringing her back here to my area in Chicago 5. Not to be selfish, but I really didn't want to be the one to leave this area. I love it so much here :)

That's kind of it for me-- I'm just goin along, doing the work the best, wildest, mexicanest way I can! :)

Love you all, have an awesome week :)
Love Hermana Hayley Walton
